The faculty at MIB is a heady mix of experience, excellence and renown. With many books, articles, publications, lectures here and abroad to their credit, they contribute in creating an intellectually vibrant and challenging classroom environment. Committed in sharing the depth and breadth of their knowledge, they constantly test the students' aptitude and thoroughness.

Apart from the core faculty, the students also leverage upon the knowledge and skill of the guest faculty, comprising of experienced industry professionals, who impart the nuances of business through regular classes, guest lectures, workshops, seminars, etc.

Stringent selection process

Three staged evaluation of candidates ensures that only the most outstanding students are admitted. Last year around 20000 students took the admission test for existing 40 seats. Entrance test, Group discussions and personal interviews seek to test the candidate holistically. The admission committee not only looks for candidates with a high aptitude to stand the rigors of the curriculum, but academic excellence, leadership abilities, interpersonal skills and past accomplishments. MIB seeks candidates of various backgrounds, who can bring new perspectives, and who contributes to, and benefit from, the active academic and co-curricular life at MIB.

Entrepreneurship by Practice

Learning at MIB is never restricted to books, diagrams and pie-charts. Nobody can learn management by reading books and theories - it’s all about application. Students here thus learn about decision making, resource management and organizing by being actively part of various initiatives and activities. No other institution provides the foundation for students to be part of such initiatives such as managing their own funds through a treasurer, conducting optional specialty subjects, organizing the placement process, etc. Apart from these, the students are also involved in conducting weekly Guest Lectures, quarterly seminars and symposia, annual convention, website maintenance, publishing of student magazines and corporate newsletters, alumni interactions, organizing workshops and educational movie/documentary screenings, NGO visits, participating in paper writing and business plan competition at various B-schools, etc.

The students also gain valuable industry exposure by undergoing rigorous 2-3 months summer training at leading organizations to apply their theories in practice and learn about distinct industry practices. They also participate in various live industry projects, corporate seminars and conventions, paper-writing and business plan competitions at leading B- schools, corporate workshops, etc.
